Damon Boyd is a respected and experienced intellectual property attorney. He spent the first 16 years of his career at Snell & Wilmer LLP in Phoenix, where he was a partner in the intellectual property practice group. Damon holds a Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rating^™ of AV® Preeminent^™ and has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the field of Copyright Law, Patent Law, and Trademark Law every year since 2018.

Damon’s practice is concentrated in intellectual property law, with experience relating to all aspects of intellectual property, including identifying, protecting, enforcing and maximizing the value of his clients’ intellectual property.

Damon has extensive experience in patent and trademark prosecution, patentability and trademark clearance, copyright, licensing, intellectual property litigation and counseling, and intellectual property driven business transactions. Damon enforces and defends clients’ trademark rights before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He also represents businesses in domain name disputes, internet issues, and social media matters.

Damon’s technical experience includes consumer products, biotechnology and medical devices, mechanical and electro-mechanical arts, semiconductors, mining technology, and software and systems. His representative clients have ranged from small and emerging businesses to Fortune 100 companies.

Damon regularly presents and teaches on various intellectual property topics and has authored numerous articles on intellectual property issues. Damon is also committed to giving back to the community, serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the Arizona Bar Foundation (aka the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education) from 2012-2017, as a member and former President of the Board of Directors for the Recreation Association of Madison Meadows-Simis (RAMMS), and as vice-president of the Arizona Celtic Bar Association. Damon is also a member of the University of Michigan “Victors for Michigan” fundraising council.
